I recently told my students that they shouldn't be afraid of stillness in movement — that stillness is powerful.
Later, I realized that this applies to life too.
Seasons of seeming stillness can feel uncomfortable in a world that appears constantly in motion.
Yet in these seasons, as we confront the fears and insecurities that may come with moving slowly, or not at all — there lies the potential for powerful growth.
Growth that gradually expands our perspectives and horizons —
like the steady energy that radiates from those still moments in dancing.
