ARTISTIC FOUNDATIONS
Four Seasons of the Soul by Julianna Rubio Slager (Ballet 5:8, 2018)
Ballet 5:8
Prior to joining Singapore Ballet, Stephanie spent three seasons with Ballet 5:8 in Chicago, performing leading and ensemble roles in original works by Julianna Rubio Slager, including The Space in Between, Four Seasons of the Soul, Scarlet, All God's Children, Shades of Refrain, 4501, and Strangers and Angels. Through the development and performance of these works, she deepened her understanding of storytelling, inhabiting character, and bringing new works to life.
Duke University
While studying at Duke University, Stephanie broadened her understanding of dance through performance, choreography, interdisciplinary study, and artistic leadership. Alongside performing Reflections by Gerald Arpino and original works by Tyler Walters and Julie Janus Walters, she developed her own artistic voice and discovered a deeper appreciation for dance as both an art form and a means of human expression — perspectives that continue to inform her work today.
Houston Ballet Academy
Stephanie received her pre-professional training at Houston Ballet Academy, where she built a strong classical foundation through rigorous daily training and performance opportunities, including works by Stanton Welch and the company’s production of Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker.
Together, these experiences continue to shape Stephanie's approach to performance, coaching, teaching, choreography, and creative collaboration.
